Leesdale Siding Extension

The LOSSAN Leesdale Siding Extension Project extends the siding nearly three miles, meeting the mainline 1,050 feet east of Rose Avenue at Milepost 405.49. The project enhances service expansion and reduces travel times, increases ridership, improves operational reliability, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The new mainline standard passing siding between the Oxnard and Camarillo stations eliminates the need for trains to hold at either station for meets and allows for increased freight and passenger service.

Zephyr Rail provides civil and track design, including the development of innovative, efficient, and safety compliant designs; project management from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards; stakeholder coordination, including LOSSAN Corridor officials, California Public Utilities Commission, Army Corps of Engineers and Ventura County Transportation Commission; environmental permitting, involving detailed environmental assessments and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations; remote sensing, including aerial imaging, mapping and surveying, which provided pivotal watershed assessment data for the design team.
