Mr. Cañas is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Zephyr Rail, with over three decades of expertise in engineering, systems design, inspection, maintenance, construction management, and leadership within the rail industry. As the COO, he combines deep technical knowledge with strategic oversight to deliver complex transportation infrastructure projects of the highest quality. A certified Remote Pilot-in-Command (FAA Part 107), Mr. Cañas is at the forefront of integrating emerging aviation technologies with traditional rail engineering. He leverages his extensive experience in railroad infrastructure, signaling, coordination, and operations to pioneer innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions within both the FRA and FAA regulatory environments. He holds a BS in computer information systems from Chapman University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
